Grab your family, put on sunblock, and and take a stroll around the courthouse! To celebrate Lafayette’s Bicentennial, we are doing a Story Around the Square. We selected the picture book Revolutionary Friends: General George Washington and the Marquis de Lafayette by Selene Castrovilla.  The story begins at the Greater Lafayette Commerce and you will stroll around the square, visiting stops outside businesses to read pages.  The story will be up all September.

While you read, there will be “Did You Know?” spots with different information about different art, buildings, or people.  Write down the purple words on the Story Around the Square bookmark, or note it in your phone.  After you read the story, kids can stop by the youth room at the the Holman Branch Library to pick up a special prize.
