1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Tippecanoe County Public Library is offering a fun and easy program to put your child on the path to reading success. Share your love of books and, before you know it, you and your child will have read 1,000 books together. By reading three books a day, you’ll reach your goal within one year. At one book a day, you’ll reach the goal in three years. Rereading favorite titles definitely counts. Most importantly, you will have introduced your child to the wonderful world of reading.

As you and your children reach reading milestones, prizes will be offered at:

250 books
500 books
750 books
1,000 books
When you reach each milestone, come into your library to collect your prize. You may also come in to receive a new reading record after each 100 books.To keep the reading fun going until kindergarten, you may register your child more than once. We have three age brackets offered and a child may register once in each bracket. So if you start reading to your baby by the time they are in kindergarten you may have read 3,000 books. WOW!
